A winter trip can be built around two different experiences: festive city days in Tbilisi or Batumi, and snow-focused time in resorts such as Gudauri, Bakuriani, Goderdzi, Hatsvali or Tetnuldi. New Year celebrations commonly continue into January, but exact concerts, fairs and public programs are announced separately each season.
Do not assume that every resort has skiable snow from a fixed date. Lift operations, roads, snow cover and activities must be checked close to travel. A good winter plan includes realistic transfer times and an alternative day.

Is there guaranteed snow in Georgia at New Year?
No destination can guarantee natural snow for a particular future date. Higher mountain resorts are more likely to have winter conditions, but always check current snow and lift reports.
Should I choose Tbilisi or Batumi for New Year?
Choose Tbilisi for a larger capital-city program and easy access toward Gudauri; choose Batumi for the Black Sea atmosphere and western-Georgia routes. Exact events vary annually.
Can you arrange a private transfer to a ski resort?
